1466697	2020-02-15 06:48:00	About time someone posted a new build so it must be me My previous build was a Q6700 LGA 775 so was about time to update,have done a few rebuilds using older parts The Board Gigabyte B360M H MATX CPU Intel Coffee Lake Core i3 9100F Ram Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Kit (8GBx2) Grey DDR4 3200 Corsair Rmx Series RM550X V2 550W Adata xpg sx8200 pro 250GB CRYORIG C1 Low Profile CPU Cooler HP Pavilion Elite Case The Power supply was carried over from my previous case and the Cryorig cooler and EVGA 750i was obtained from TM(old card was substandard) Not into gaming so didn't need the horsepower and the expense of the latest and greatest,did consider the Ryzen 2600 but was not in stock PB Tech at the New Year Sales also the ram was upgraded to 3200 though not needed by the 9100f (only limited to 2600) but was got at the 2600 price The board was fairly basic but suited the need and price(Z390 would have been nice) Already had a HP case but always wanted the Pavilion Elite case so the build went into this with the only problem of not enough USB 2.0 and waiting for a special cable for the USB 3.0 also looks like I can replace some of the USB"2.0 "Keystones" for USB 3.0 The Cryorig C1 only spins at 620/660 RPM,everything is super quite Boot time ,blink and you miss it User Benchmark www.userbenchmark.com	Lawrence (2987)
1466698	2020-02-15 19:47:00	Very nice. Well, not so keen on the case but personal taste.... I haven't done an upgrade in 10 years now!!! OMG! 10 years!!!! This is the all time record. Even when back in the days of Commodore and such I never had a computer that long. OK, the KB, mouse, screen, HDD, GPU and such isn't 10, but the MB, RAM and CPU are. Mobo: ASUS: P7P55 LX v: Rev X.0x CPU: Quad core Intel Core i5 750 (-MCP-) cache: 8192 KB Graphics: Card: NVIDIA GK104 [GeForce GTX 680] Drives: HDD Total Size: 1250.3GB (21.6% used) ID-1: /dev/sda model: WDC_WD10EZEX size: 1000.2GB ID-2: /dev/sdb model: ST3250310AS size: 250.1GB Partition: ID-1: / size: 138G used: 49G (38%) ID-2: /home size: 780G used: 104G (14%) Yes the drives are quite old too, although not 10 years. Well, maybe drive 2, but not drive 1. GPU was upgraded I can't remember, a few years ago.........used, not new. Once upon a time I had a new, and high end, upgrade every second year. Actually the BIOS battery is still going, waiting on it to fail still.	piroska (17583)
1466699	2020-02-17 06:45:00	Sounds good, Lawrence. Yea, like Piroska, my mobo, RAM and CPU are long in the tooth. Nearly 9 years old but still working great. Long gone are the days when a Windows update meant new hardware! As a non gamer I am not fussy. Just chuck an SSD in and all is good,	linw (53)
1466700	2020-02-17 07:46:00	Yep, ended up with a couple of extra's that added a few $$ The board had a M2 slot but was going to use my Samsung 860 EVO though $89 for the Adata XPG NVME M2(250GB) was to much to resist Was going to use my HP a6660a case but always liked the HP Pavilion Elite case www.amazon.co.uk The only thing about HP cases ,they are "BTX"(everything is back to front) so the board is upside down along with the Power Supply and also with so much to connect from the front panel you run out of headers on the Board but I am working on that one Also am amazed at how quiet and cool it runs 31/33 degree's though the 9100f has a low TDP	Lawrence (2987)

Ive had huge failure rates with Adata RAM, even the warranty replacement RAM failing instantly I now wont touch Adata RAM, I guess their M.2 is just as bad .	1101 (13337)

They can be paid for or sponsored reviews, reviews where they get stuff for free to review, or where they make $ from affiliate links : they get a commission if you buy via their link. So these reviewers are reluctant to give a bad review, as that can hit them in the pocket. They are often only short term reviews , not long enough to test reliability . Ive been had in the past, bought a product after seeing a great (sponsored) review, only to find its obvious issues when I got it . heres where I would start, actual buyers reviews on Amazon . 800+ buyers reviews . 7% bad rating . 5% very bad rating : ie it died etc www.amazon.com	1101 (13337)
