| 1466655 | 2020-02-14 22:43:00 | So I just got a new Samsung galaxy tab A tablet for work. Use it everyday, taking photos and pic collage to make stories and storypark. But I have a problem, It seems I cannot see or find the printer. Its a ricoh printer - huge multi function thing that I believe runs on wireless. I tried downloading apps, but they couldnt see it either. No other work make has the problem and have had tablets or ipads printing for years no worries and they cant remember how to get them to see each other. Am i missing something ??? Is it a IP address thing instead not wireleess? what should i be looking for? because this now is becoming frustrating as all my screeds of work cant be printed. Basically new to tablets, as never had my own one, so have basic knowledge of them, last place of work had Ipads and I used that very little...:yuck: Help? |

| 1466656 | 2020-02-14 23:28:00 | What features does your printer have? Google print or AirPrint? The latter won’t help as that’s windows. Or there should be an app from the manufacturer that should work. As long as both are on the same network (wireless in this case), they should see each other |

Yes I looked there, but it does not come up with Ricoh printers, and so google playstore offered suggestions and they didnt work once downloaded as they could not see printer even when tablet was sitting on the printer while in search mode. Will talk to my co workers on monday and see what is suggested and if I need to contact Printer suppliyer....? |

| 1466660 | 2020-02-15 05:04:00 | Have you tried this - www.youtube.com If you go to the play store and type in Ricoh or Ricoh MP307 it brings up the Smart Device connector. As it says in the video (around 10 seconds) you HAVE to be connected to the LAN for it to work, and the Router will be giving it or it should have a static IP address. Most Wireless wont connect directly to a printer, and if they do they are usually unstable. |

| 1466663 | 2020-02-15 22:51:00 | Beetle, I have my HP printer on my WIFI network. I can print to it via WIFI from my Samsung tablet TabS2 using the PrinterShare app from Google Playstore. It recognises the printer from the network, and then prints as required. My printer isn't working very well at the moment - it is a bit aged, and we have just moved house and it has been in storage/ bumped around by movers, and it seems to be sulking, but what happens is that it prints the first part of the page, and then sits and thinks for quite a while before printing the rest. I have no idea why the pause happens - it could be problems with the printer, or the memory capacity etc, but if you are patient, it works. Perhaps this app will work with your Ricoh printer because this is not an HP product, solely for working with HP printers so far as I can tell. You just need to have both the printer and your tablet on the same WIFI network. |
