The managed bit isnt working either as people working there are getting it off the sickos who bought it in. the simple issue with that is there is no real way they can be sure not to have covid before they get here. they can pick it up in the airport as they board, in the plane etc which has happened. yes it would be good to keep the amount of cases coming in down but its never fool proof. also you don't want to make a it a requirement for entry otherwise people running the quarantine will get complacent. better that they expect everyone to have it than to expect everyone not to have it. it all comes back to peoples mind set. |

| 1473017 | 2020-11-19 19:59:00 | The commie government is still letting people with COVID-19 into NZ. . the govt is still letting foreigners in if you have alot of $ , you can get in if you have a sob storey , you can get in if you are coming here to work, you can get in if you are a diplomat , you can bypass all quarantining . That recently happened . They let in a pair of Brits, ONLY so they could sell their expensive boat here. Thats literally the only reason they were let in , they had a sob storey & wanted to sell their boat here so they didnt loose as much on the sale. It seems there are zero other countries to sell your boat from . Locked down border , restricted entry : nope. Not if you have money , a sob story or connections in high places . |

| 1473018 | 2020-11-20 05:01:00 | You can only play the hand your dealt, and I believe Ashley Bloomfield and his colleagues have done a pretty good job of playing this difficult hand. yes, especially as the medical staff where petitioning the govt to lock down the country a month before the govt was forced to. the problems are mainly at the top. not much the staff can do when the capt is asleep at the wheel. at one point they even tried to blame bloomfield for the failings, which failed so the minister fell on his sword. |
