| 1472881 | 2020-11-08 07:37:00 | Ive been using both of the above to stream background music to my smart tv. I prefer Spotify as I like the way the tracks are displayed on screen. I have attempted to create the save playlist on both. However there are a number of tracks that wont play in Spotify but will in Youtube. It would appear these are (non copyrighted) tracks, by some the same artists I have on my playlist in Spotify. My old brain is trying to work a way round this. Can anyone help me out here. |

So those artists dont allow their music on spotify Also , some artists also dont actually have the publishing rights to some of there songs , so 3rd parties who have those publishing rights can decide if those songs are allowed on spotify Taylor Swift pulled all her music off Spotify for years (but are now back on there) from 2014 , not sure of the rate now "So how much do Spotify artists actually make? Artists earn on average less than one cent per play, between $0.006 and $0.0084, to be exact" |

| 1472883 | 2020-11-09 00:33:00 | However there are a number of tracks that wont play in Spotify but will in Youtube. Can you give an example of a couple ? Never had any tracks not play, there are some tracks not available but generally if available play fine. | wainuitech (129) | ||

| 1472885 | 2020-11-09 05:11:00 | I stand corrected, not available on Spotify, but available on YouTube. Well that would be the reason they don't work on Spotify :D Mind you if you were to download a song and add it to your Spotify playlist you create it should play fine. |

Install something like ClipGrab, go to Youtube find the music clipgrab.org Download the music to your Computer. Save it in a Folder. Open Spotify, upload the music to Spotify from your Computer after changing the settings point it at the Folder you created previously. support.spotify.com Look on Spotify - Local Files -- Then Stream it to the TV. |

| 1472890 | 2020-11-10 00:53:00 | OK I installed the clipgrab, although windows security didn't want to let it in. I find it good to use for this purpose as you can select to just download the music mp3 without video, which is all I needed. Once in the system, spotify will play them with the saved playlist, but only from the system they are on. On other systems they showed as greyed out. So I copied them to onedrive & added that location spotify's local files. This works ok on windows but as yet not on android or whatever the tv runs on. I'm still experimenting. |
