1467295 2020-03-10 22:14:00 I have had a message saying that my email box is almost full and that I will have to delete some old emails otherwise when it is full I won't be able to use it anymore.

I have gone to my inbox and started deleting. It is a time consuming process - I highlight each email then delete them, ten at a time. It's very slow.

Does anyone know of a way that I can bulk delete my emails? Say, a few hundred at a time.

Your help is appreciated.

1467296 2020-03-10 22:42:00 This is referring to Outlook installed on the computer:

Open Outlook, from Files ( on the right) Tools - Mailbox Cleanup. From there you can maintain / alter the data etc ( various options)

If its the deleted items as well, right click the folder and Empty Folder.

OR are you referring to the online version ?

If its the online only go to the inbox put your mouse over 1 email, press Ctrl+A This will select all mail, then dump the lot if you wish, OR if you only want to keep a few untick the ones you want to keep then click Delete, THEN empty out the Deleted items.

Note that the online version will have two option in the inbox, Other and focused, so you'll need to deal to both.

1467297 2020-03-10 23:06:00 Thanks for that, Wainui. I was able delete 9000 in the time it took me to delete 100 the old way.

Much appreciated.

After your deletions were completed did you go to the Main folder and select Compact Now?

That was "drilled into me" some years ago. as an extra tidy-up housekeeping process.
