42345 2002-04-07 03:39:00 I have an HP 9100I cd writer and have been using it with the HP CD writer plus software that came with it. I upgraded to HP Record Now version 3.5. That's when everything turned to custard. Windows crashed and burned. I uninstalled all the CD writer software, fixed up the registry settings and windows problems using Norton System works 2002. Now when I attempt to re-install the original HP CD writer Plus software the moment the data is read on the cd windows crashes. Is there anybody out there to give me some pointers about what to do next.?
Appreciatively yours

42347 2002-04-07 04:48:00 Have you tried installing a different CD writing software such as Nero or Easy CD.
Downside is you would need to pay for either.

Nero can be had from

www.ahead.de/

and Easy CD Creator which I think has now been taken over by Roxio? is

www.roxio.com

Nero would be the cheaper one.

42348 2002-04-07 09:49:00 Hello Cam..I agree with Gordon. I have two HP 9100 CDRW drives, and found the HP software that came with them is hopeless.. Get the Nero or Easy CD creator V4 or 5.

Good luck..
