42456 2002-04-07 14:18:00 I am running Windows XP. Whenever I open Windows Explorer or related software the Dial-up-Networking commences. How do I stop DUN doing this? Guest (0)
42457 2002-04-07 23:34:00 Hopefully someone with XP will tell us if this is normal. I wouldn't expect plain old explorer to need to check the internet, but might be checking for updates. Could also be trojan or spyware, but don't think so.
Is there anything promising in this area under tools, options?

42458 2002-04-08 02:22:00 I've been working with and supporting XP for a while now and haven't come across this before. More than anything it sounds like a trojan if it's starting when you start non internet related programs. Make sure your virus protection is up to date and monitoring your PC. Guest (0)
42459 2002-04-09 10:55:00 I also have this problem - XP running ICS with a WIN 95 PC as an ICS client. Problem is DUN keeps firing into life and I cannot track down what application or what machine is initiating the session.

Is there any diagnostic application that can help track this down?
