| 42392 | 2002-04-07 06:41:00 | I have just purchased a New Canonscan N670U & have not been able to load the drivers.I am running Win ME with 256k of Ram & every time the new hardware wizard comes up I go through the motions of installing cds etc. When the driver location has been found, the wizard freezes & basically thats it!! Are there any ways of installing the twain drivers manually ?Getting around the new hardware wizard??? | Guest (0) | ||

If that doesn't work look in conrtol panel/system and look for the scanner in there is sould be there but crossed out or some thing like that. Then just double click on it then update driver and have it look for the drivers off the disk. |

Most new scanners I have installed recently state: Install the software first, turn off the computer, install the hardware, turn on the PC and let Windows do its thing. The first time I installed one, I did as you have done, and got what you got. Since then, I've found that following the instructions as above gives a hassle free install! Regards, Ray A. |
