42502 2002-04-08 00:01:00 Just updated adaware to 07.04.2002 and ran it. It found-

247 registry keys
2 folders
11 files

most of these seem to be associated with Downloader accelerator plus. Two questions are can there really be that many registry keys and secondly, does any one use any other file manager that is spy and ad free.

cheers

42504 2002-04-08 01:22:00 FlashGet <www.flashget.com

no spyware and just a small window which you need to close when the program first opens.

42506 2002-04-08 01:48:00 sorry JM but flashget/jetcar has spyware (unless there is a new ver out i don't know about).

as far as dap goes read -www.speedbit.com 'SpeedBit may gather contact information and other personally identifiable information (such as username, e-mail address, country and zip-code), and demographic information (like their age, occupation or gender). SpeedBit, it's partners, affiliates or other third parties may use any information submitted or collected from you.'

42507 2002-04-08 08:07:00 I use Freshdownload. They guarantee no Ads. and no spyware. You just have to accept an E-mail once a week reminding you of their other free downloads. Don't click on the 'What's hot' button. Guest (0)
