42486 2002-04-07 22:54:00 I'm using Windows 98SE.
When trying to use a .mid file I get an error message saying 'xxx.mid is not a valid Win32 application.' This has only started recently. Previously .mid files played OK.
I suspect that the registry may be corrupt but don't know how to fix it.
Can anyone help? Thanks

42487 2002-04-08 01:03:00 if it's happening with all mid files then try this.

hold down the left shift key and right clik on the file and select open with... on the menu. You will see a list of programmes to select from.
