42730 2002-04-09 01:37:00 I have a dual boot windows 2000 machine. My second boot is also windows 2000, and is optmised for digital video editing.
When I boot my computer it presents me with two boot options both unconveniently named 'Windows 2000'. Where and how can I rename the options so it is clear to my family which one they should select.

42731 2002-04-09 01:47:00 The file you want to edit is called boot.ini You ca find it and edit it manually, or to be more safe, you can Goto Start>Run and type msconfig. Click on the boot.ini tab, and under the heading [operating systems] rename 'Windows 2000' to whatever you want.
