42562 2002-04-08 07:25:00 is there something that will extend my table, without using copiuos amounts of non-breaking spaces
I've got two tables, in two columns, the column on the right is for the text and the one on the left i want to make bigger so the text doesn't overlay the background picture.

any ideas lemme know, could it be something to do with the table width?

i can upload it to my homepages acc. if you wanna see what i mean,

42564 2002-04-08 08:14:00 Use a transparent gif in one of your table cells that you can resize to whatever you want.

If you have a look at the source of some webpages you'll come across one somewhere to 'borrow'. Do a search for gif and see if something comes up with a name like blnk.gif or similar.

You won't need to look far, most pages have them (hint hint).

42565 2002-04-09 02:09:00 Hi,

Great to hear you got the problem sorted.

I don't know what your experience with HTML is like but there is a great tutorial on the web at www.pagetutor.com I found it very useful for those annoying little problems like this one.

Cheers
