| 42580 | 2002-04-08 06:16:00 | Everyone has agreed that Graham's idea of a FAQ written by contributors is a good one, so would it be possible to get it off the ground *now* rather than wait for the 'new layout', whenever that will be? It's going to be a big job considering all the suggestions we've had so why not start now? There's plenty of room for a few quick enticer FAQ links at the top of the Press F1 homepage, with one going to the main categorised table of contents with their links to the appropriate pages. I can't see any more than around half a dozen (if that) done each week or two, so your webmaster won't exactly be flooded with work. It will be a nice steady trickle rather than a big flood. Really, you people should be grabbing the bull by the horns, having this golden opportunity of a gaggle of slaves doing most of the work for you. They might change their minds, you know. (Have I managed to break your arm yet? I'm twisting as hard as I can!) |

| 42581 | 2002-04-08 06:38:00 | Thanks Susan. I asked the same thing in my latest post to the second original thread. I gather you are super keen to help. If you want to take over part of the organisation send me an email to this address gwpetrie@actrix.co.nz and I will email you my real address. Any one else can indicate their interest to do part of the work by posting onto this thread, or sending an email to the same address. G P |

However it will be dependent on those contributors being consistent and regular - which is not something that F1 is known for. Neither is this forum known for being an expert's answer to most issues - the popular problems answered to are generally 'newbie' issues, as was mentioned by a recent poster. Too many issues are relegated to 'opinions', and it would be a task to regulate the contributions to the FAQ. F1 already has a resolution database, searchable via this column itself. |
