42709 2002-04-09 00:36:00 Has anyone found a reliable chat room for real time chat. I want to set up one with my sister in UK? Guest (0)
42710 2002-04-09 02:08:00 If you are only wanting to chat to one of a few particular people, try msn messenger (messenger.msn.com), yahoo messenger (http:), ICQ - which all offer one on one real time chat.

You can have up to 5 people chatting at a time on msn messenger and yahoo offers easy creation of private chat rooms from within its messenger. I am not familiar with ICQ's options.

You may also like to go to http://chat.msn.com/ and set up a user created chat room.

42711 2002-04-09 08:48:00 Hello Rene,
Paltalk might fit your needs, it has chatrooms, that are supervised or you can set up your own. It allows for instant chat, and video.

It does have annoying popups until you pay for it unfortunalty.

cheers,
Bob

42712 2002-04-09 19:44:00 I use Yahoo Messenger, configured to ignore people that I haven't allowed to talk to me. Use it to chat with a couple of friends overseas.

Works well, no advertising, and some of the imvironments are kind of fun.

42714 2002-04-11 11:27:00 Hi Rene,
Why not just use MSN Messenger, It keeps me in touch with my kids and doesn't seem to stuff up. It requires a .net passport though.
