42660 2002-04-08 11:35:00 Hello,
I own a Acer Laptop 210T 700mhz celeron processor with 256meg RAM with a clean upgrade of Win XP (from ME). I am experiencing a problem. I brought a Mustek 1200UB Plus scanner from Dick Smith Electronics, after which I downloaded the XP drivers from their site. The problem is that I can not get XP to recognise my scanner. I have reinstalled the drivers 6-7 times in an attempt to fix the problem. I have even downloaded the drivers from Mustek USA and Taiwen (Asia/Pacific region). Do you have any solutions? Fixes?

42661 2002-04-09 00:10:00 Running Microtek 3800 with XP. During the installation of the 3800 a lot of Twain files were removed to the Recycle Bin and replaced by those supplied with the 3800 installation disk.? did the installation disc for the Mustek specifically state it was suitable for XP. Does the Mustek web site FAQ and Sales Blurb give any clues?.Frank Guest (0)

NO. XP TOLD ME IT WASN'T COMPATIBLE. I WAS TOLD BY DICK SMITH ELEC THAT THE XP DRIVER UPDATE/UPGRADE WAS AVAILABLE FROM THEIR SITE
Does the Mustek web site FAQ and Sales Blurb give any clues? I HAVE PRINTED OFF THE INFO FROM ALL THEIR SITES CONCERNING THE MATTER TO TRY TO GAIN AN EDGE BUT NO LUCK. I HAVE JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THEM CONCERNING THIS BUT I DO NOT HAVE MUCH FAITH IN FIXING THIS PROBLEM READILY. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED...THANK YOU KEVIN
