| 42891 | 2002-04-09 16:54:00 | Hi, I've recently clean-installed W2K on my PC (1.2GHz Athlon), and installed all the patches from windowsupdate. However, whenever I try to install hardware (GEforce 2 mx400, specific monitor driver, usb digital camera, usb printer) I get the message 'CAnnot install driver. Data is not valid'. I have the correct, most recent W2K drivers for all the hardware, and they are not corrupted. Just recently, I booted up my pc and suddenly the monitor and video card were installed, but I still get the same error for my printer and camera. Can anyone help me fix it? Or must I format my hardrive, reinstall w2k and hope for the best?! |

Also, i've since re-installed Win98 on a separate partition and there aren't any similar problems in that OS, so I don;'t think it's a BIOS problem (although i've tinkered with lots of settings to no avail!). | Guest (0) | ||
