43332 2002-04-11 13:48:00 I am are Kermit!
Though I'm technically the star, I'm pretty mellow and don't mind letting others share the spotlight. I am also something of a dreamer.

Is this good or bad?

43333 2002-04-11 19:09:00 If a man from Poland is a Pole, is a man from Holland a Hole?

Call me Fozzie.

Just as well, because I'm Kermit too, so move over!

Hang on, I'll do it again. I might have lied a bit because this doesn't apply:

<<I am also something of a dreamer.>>

Ah, that's better:

<<You are Gonzo!
You're a bit loopy, and many people have trouble figuring out exactly what you're supposed to be. You take pride in your eccentricity and originality.>>

The kids will agree with that!

43337 2002-04-11 23:29:00 Hey, stop taking Kermit's name in vain.

Kermit is a magnificent software project. It's actually a protocol, but it has been WIDELY implemented. It got people transferring files between all sizes and brands of computers before the Internet was running.

You want Kermit for: Apple II (not Mac), Commodore, IBM mainframes, Burroughs A-series, IBM PC, CP/M machines, PDP11, Vax, PDP8, Amiga, Sun, or just about any machine under the sun. Just go to the Kermit site at Columbia university in New York.

Started to be just for serial line communications, but there is an Ethernet mode too.

(They did get permission to use the name...).

Here ends the history lesson for the day, children of the computer age.

'If you forget your history, you are doomed to repeat it'.
