43195 2002-04-11 02:39:00 Install Tweak UI from a magazine cover disc or download from microsoft or install from any Win/98/98/ME disc (I think it is in the powertoys folder) This will give you the option to remove the icon. Guest (0)
43196 2002-04-11 03:24:00 You can right click it and select properties.

Then add the Microsoft Family Logon which under the Clients/Microsoft section after clicking the Add button.

Then remove Client for Microsoft Networking.

Restart PC and it should be gone!

43197 2002-04-11 08:22:00 Hi Cyabro,
thank you very much for your suggestion to remove this unwanted icon, - it worked a treat, the icon has disappeared, - never to be seen again. Good luck to you.

43198 2002-04-11 08:29:00 Hi BC,
Thank you for taking an interest in my problem,I didn't download Tweak UI, but used another easier option to remove the icon, but might have a look at Tweak UI anyway, - thanks again.

43199 2002-04-12 01:58:00 for those who like no icons on the screen a easy thing to do is set desktop to 'veiw as web page' and set it to 'hide icons when veiwed as web page'

if you need the icons you simple toggle the 'veiw as web page' off.
