| 43210 | 2002-04-11 01:40:00 | Hi I have recently upgraded my pavilion 4512 to winxp pro, but have come across a couple of problems. 1. I have a rockwell modem with the audio riptide chipset, (hcf) and though xp sets up the audio it wont recognise the modem?? 2. When the hourglass is working, or I move my mouse I get a feedback noise through the speakes. I have tried reinstalling the modem to no avail though I did find that once I had removed the modem from device manager there was no feedback noise, then when xp detects new hardware, eg simple communiction device pci, even if I just kill off the popup as soon as it dissapears the feedback starts back up again. Puzzling????? |
