I was just wondering is it still possible to go into bios if your computer doesn't boot up with that black screen that let's you press DELETE to go into bios, you know... that black screen that comes up when you boot up the computer. Cause I have a friend, his computer doesn't have that black screen coming up when his computer boots up.

So is it possible for him to go into bios by pressing DELETE or something else when the computer boots up?

His computer is a IBM P3-450mhz and Win98Se.

Thanks alot :-)

43535 2002-04-13 02:49:00 Yes it is still possible unless the BIOS is fried.

Proprietary PC usually have a different method for getting into the BIOS.

Some keys that could work:

ESC
DEL - Award BIOS
CTRL+ESC - Acers
F1/2 - HP
F10 - Compaqs

There are possibly more, these are just some of them I have come across. Try using all the Function Keys. You could refer to the manual if you could find it online for that PC.
