43496	2002-04-12 20:49:00	Sometimes when i do scan disc i get about 300mb back eg 11.4GB to 11.7GB back yesterday i did a scan disc cuz my comp didn't shut down property and i lost 400MB just by doing scan disc, why is this?	Guest (0)
43497	2002-04-13 05:00:00	It sometimes recovers a file (or parts of one) that was lost because the filesystem wasn't updated correctly. They are saved in the root of your drive as FILE0001.CHK etc, and directories are saved as DIR0001 etc. There is not much you can do with the files as they have lost their names, and are probably only fragments.
