| 43498 | 2002-04-12 14:11:00 | I am using Adaptec Direct CD Wzard to fomst CD-RW. After processing 60sec, there is an error as follows: Error: Device is not ready.(0x8023a00) you woll not be able to read and write to the disc through device letter access. Please advise what is going wrong and how to resolve tis problem. Thanks. |

| 43499 | 2002-04-13 12:13:00 | My first attempts to format a cd-rw disc with Adaptec Direct were failures until I requested a full format (in an 'advanced' box I think it was). Have done lots since with no problems. Hope this helps. K. | Guest (0) | ||
| 43500 | 2002-04-13 20:48:00 | Thanks for your reply. Is there another version of Adaptec DirectCD as I can't find the 'advanced' box in my Adaptec DirecCD 3.01e. Where can I request for this feature mentioned by you for full format. My screen for Adaptec DirectCD selection: Next - Next - Next -Finish Direct Wizard is about to format the CD-RW in drive (E:) it will take approximately 25-45 minutes for processing, proceed now? I select OK. It just format 60sec, then the error occurred.The CD-RW is hanged and the drive will be locked and cannot be open to eject the CD disc. Please help! |
