43448 2002-04-12 06:14:00 Hi,

I went to adjust my power options today, and they seem to have been disabled. There are no themes present, and all the settings are greyed out. Has anyone seen this happen before? How do I fix it? Windows XP Pro.

43449 2002-04-13 00:08:00 I've had something similar, also in XP Pro, but its not quite the same thing, and as yet I've not figured out how to fix it...

I go to my power settings, and add a new power profile, which I save, and then I go back into the power settings and its gone, and so are all but two of the preset ones (there were about 5 or 6 that installed with XP).

43450 2002-04-13 05:46:00 I just realised - my comp is not loading the current power profile at startup. The string is missing from the registry. What is the string so I can replace it?

43451 2002-04-15 06:08:00 This isn't going to help at all, but I had a similiar prob in home edition - my Standby button in the shutdown dialog is disabled, yet it used to work. Similiar problem, pherhaps? :) Guest (0)
