| 43435 | 2002-04-12 05:28:00 | iam running win98 ,i installed my modem on port 3 it works fine but i cant see port 3 listed in device manager tab in system properties there are only port 1 , 2 and ecp printer port (lpt1) why cant i view it there |

Part of this software is a 'virtual port' that allows programs to communicate with the 'modem port', but in reality they are talking to the software that drives the modem.
