43424 2002-04-12 05:07:00 After a reinstall of windows xp i have been having problems with java. I keep getting the sorry your browser does not support java msg but before i had the reinstall the java appletts loaded. Also when i try to run Britanica 2000 Deluxe i get a msg saying.

Unable to start the application--The Java virtual machine cannot be loaded. Class not registered.

I have tried to reinstal but it still doesnt work. any ideas?

43425 2002-04-12 09:36:00 Windows XP doesn't have the java virtual machine as part of the OK or on the CD. You will need to download it from the MS site....

You may find the reason for it getting a message and then seeming to work is because it need the JVM for part of the web page, but not for all of it, so just come up with error and then continues loading the page..
