43410 2002-04-12 03:22:00 whenever I'm loged on to the computer pop-up's appear whether i'm loged onto the Internet or not.
If I'm not logged on and an ad. appears the the dial-up connection window comes up.
I've used adaware from www.lavasoft.de which gets rid of the ad's but something else seems to be generating them.

43411 2002-04-12 04:48:00 what programs/processes have you got running in the background?

also make sure you have got adaware updated. then clean out any temp folders, often you will get an installer hiding there which will reinfect you when you reboot. after cleaning temp folder give adaware another run.

43412 2002-04-12 05:21:00 You need to identify the program that is attempting to access the internet. Try installing Zonelabs Zonealarm (www.zonelabs.com) personal firewall. Once running, this will pick up any programs that try to access the internet. From there, you can decide what to do with it... Guest (0)
