| 43652 | 2002-04-13 14:37:00 | I have acurious problem. I can dial up ok and check e-mail etc and look at web pages. Then suddenly the whole connection will freeze. All i get is that the server is not responding. I cannot ping anything, The result is along the lines that the address could not be found. All the settings are ok. It will work most of the time and then suddenly freeze. It could happen right at the start of a seesion or in the middle. Sometimes, closing the connection and re dialing will get things going again. Running XP home, Dynalink rural modem (some of use do live in rural NZ you know)PIII 800. Can anyone offer help. Thanks. |

We get it just the same in the city, and it's no use talking to your ISP or to Telecom because they'll just blame each other or even you. It may just be something we have to put up with until somebody gets around to figuring out what is causing it and how to fix the problem. Mike. |
