2002-04-13 09:28:00 Can anyone remember which issue of PC World had the step-by-step photographic article showing how to install another hard drive in a computer? Please... Guest (0)
2002-04-13 11:10:00 No, but its pretty simple, just pull the old drive out put new one in and put in the cables. You will need to set the jumpers to master or slave, the same as the one you just removed (most likely master).

IDE cable red line is pin 1 orientation or hopefully it can only go in one way (depending on IDE cable).

2002-04-13 11:59:00 THanks for your reply, but the bit I was after was where you had both drives in there and copied the old one to the new one...and then kept the old one? Guest (0)

2002-04-13 12:05:00 I seem to recall the article but I am at work right now, won't be back home till morning, if no one else has helped you by then I will have a look through what issues I have here, I can either let you know the issue or scan the page and email it to you. Guest (0)
