| 43626 | 2002-04-13 11:40:00 | I have GoBack 3 (personal edition) that came with systemworks. So far I have been very happy with all of the functions of systemworks but have not yet braved installing goback. I run windows ME and have used the Restore function in the past with no problems. I was wondering has any body any tips or advice as to whether installing goback is worth the effort. I have 40gb hard drive and manual says that this will use 10%. Is this reasonable, sounds a lot to me. Thanks in advance. | Guest (0) | ||
| 43627 | 2002-04-13 12:13:00 | I have a big liking for goback over ME system restore. This is mainly because goback does a complete reversion of your system wiping out everything that was added after the restore point......restore doesn't seem to do this and so leaves all sorts of messy little things behind including (usually) whatever it was that you were trying to get rid of. As to the space it takes....well I've also got a 40g HD and I haven't even noticed the space it takes.....40g is a lotta HD to fill | Guest (0) | ||
| 43628 | 2002-04-13 12:29:00 | thanks, I am assuming that I will need to disable Restore. But is there anything I need to watch for before installing ie backing up files/registry, conflict with other programs etc. It says (in the manual) that goback will not install on systems that are running MS-DOS Compatibility mode?? How do I know what this is. Appreciate any help or advice. Sam |
