| 43808 | 2002-04-14 20:33:00 | When I first try to start my 4 year old 366 Celeron the system does not reach POST. If I press the restart button it will load everything. Once I have the system running and shut it down it will start by using normal start button. But if I leave it for 1/2 hour I have to go via restart again. I have recently had to replace power supply unit and RAM through possible power hit and problem began around same time. Regards Chris |

If it is a press to operate rather than a toggle switch then it could also be due to wear in the latching mechanism. If the contacts are damaged you will probaly notice a flash when turning it off (Best seen in a darkened room). |
