| 43751 | 2002-04-14 03:56:00 | Hi All. just installed a usb mouse on a toshiba satallite laptop running win XP Pro.. need to know how to disable the touchpad one or set windows to only use it if usb is not present... the USB mouse has option to disable in device manager but touchpad does not have disable option... please help thanks Johnny |

| 43752 | 2002-04-14 05:08:00 | My laptop is a Dell Latitude and whenever I plugin an USB mouse it will disable the touchpad. When your USB mouse is plugged in can you still use your touchpad? If you can't then it's disabled. You might also want to try looking in your bios, maybe there is an option in there to disble your mouse. Bruce. |

| 43753 | 2002-04-14 06:23:00 | Thanks Bruce, at the moment i have them both plugged in and functional at once, will look at bios though, what i would really like is for, like your setup touchpad to disable when usb is plugged in... i think i have a usb / ps2 adapter here i will try that also thanks johnny |
