| 43958 | 2002-04-15 09:39:00 | Scanning using my desktop PC at best takes a long time, at worst causes the PC to seize up - I'm running Win98 with an HP4300 Scanjet and 312Mb RAM. My laptop, with only 64Mb RAM seems to manage the same scanning tasks without problems. Can somebody suggest what the problem might be with my desktop PC - is this a memory problem? If so, how do I fix it? Thanks |

Don't know if you are scanning via a photo program or not...but found settings on desktop were for VERY high resolution and EXTREME lines per inch. Think it would take a Kray to handle that. Lowering expectations worked fine. | Guest (0) | ||
