| 43940 | 2002-04-15 07:58:00 | We have a MS Excell file with valuable data in our computer. It was working fine till two days back. But today we found that the file was not gettimg opened. When we try to open the file, the file's content is displayed for a fraction of a secon in the screen; after that a blank, gray screen is displayed.All the menu functions will remain deactivated now. Your valuable remedial suggestions are solicited. I'm ready to give any more clarifications, if any. | Guest (0) | ||
| 43941 | 2002-04-16 03:53:00 | Sound like you may have either a) Coruppted Excel file or b) corrupted Excel install. To fix a) do: 1. Copy the .xls file so you have a backup 2. Use Google (or other search) to find EXCELFIX.EXE - this is a tool that can fix some problems in Excel files and make them usable again - but it can lose data or formulae in the process. To fix b) you need to reinstall Excel - or possibly all of Office again. |
