| 43934 | 2002-04-15 06:48:00 | When i tried compressing one of my partitions on my hard drive it told me i would have to run scandisk to fix up some errors i did this and after the scan drivespace3 still wasn't working. when i ran scandisk again it came up with a message saying that an error had been found and that it was related to MS-DOS names and a folder name being to long. I Told it to fix it and now all the files in that folder and its sub-folder are missing. When i try to find those files using find (F3) i get a list of all those files and can even able to open them but they are gone from windows explorer. I am using Windows 95 B. Please Help Thanks |

Scandisk probably moved the directory to make it readable from DOS, when you run find it will have an 'in folder' column which will tell you where the files are now located. |
