43909 2002-04-15 05:20:00 My PC seems for no apparent reason to boot into bios.

This is a pain as I sometimes need to reboot my server remotely.

I thought it may have been plug and pray/IRQ type activity, but my hardware does not change.

Once it boots into Bios, I save settings, reboot and it comes right.

43910 2002-04-15 05:37:00 Do you mean

A. First start up will boot into Bios?

or

B. Will reboot itself in the middle of a session into Bios?

If the answer is (A) then the battery on your motherboard is flat and need replacing. Check the motherboard manual for information on the battery. If you are able to then replace it yourself otherwise bring into a shop and ask them to do it for you.

If the answer is (B) then it could be something else and you'll need to provide more information on the session before we can give you an answer.
