| 1295691 | 2012-08-20 12:23:00 | Hi all, I am thinking of either the Samsung S23B350H or the Viewsonic VX2453mh . Will be using it for a laptop computer and a Xbox 360 at 1080p mode . I am also wondering about the Viewsonics sound quality too but not too picky on it . Is it as bad as people say . Cheers . |

A $25 set of 2.0 speakers (or $40 for 2.1) will be much better than what is in the monitor if you dont care about sound quality to much. I've used viewsonic screens for maybe 10 years, my first 17" LCD was around $1000, on-sold it to a business about 5 yrs ago and its still working and used daily. Always found them pretty good and reliable and good enough picture quality to me. I havent had much to do with Samsung to compare sorry, some of their tvs look good. | Iantech (16386) | ||

Both brands sell monitors with 3year warranties What I did find, is that even though one particular model has excellent reviews, the manufactures might change the panel used in that particular monitor over the months to a relatively sub par one. |

Also b/c it's HDMI will be plugging in a Xbox, does monitors have speaker output? Could be annoying to plug/unplug speakers to the laptop and Xbox every time .. |
