| 44185 | 2002-04-16 19:36:00 | When I run defag or scan disk or antivirus it will start to run and then this comes up. An exception has acurred at 0028:c0008294 inVXD---. and then says it may be possible to contiune normally. Have I droped a virtual file or ?. Help Help Please Regards Richie |

| 44186 | 2002-04-19 03:49:00 | Hey Richard, don't know if this will sort you out, but we were crashing (blue screen of death stuff) with VXD errors. Friend of mine, way more tech-headed than me got me to find a vxd-fix. I just put vxd fix into the search box at google and found what I wanted under an hour. Apparently its a simple batch file that re-copies all the vxd files back to your hard drive. (you do need your Win98 CD) Something to do with your vxd files getting corrupted. If you have no luck finding it at google let me know and I'll send it to ya, cos its real small. It worked a treat - no guarantees that it'll fix your problem but I'm continually surprised by how some things can be so easily fixed. Let me know at speedspy@i4free.co.nz | Guest (0) | ||
