44079 2002-04-16 06:56:00 Having just changed from ZFREE we now find the connection drops out every 30 secs or new page, or if the browser is idle for 5 secs, and keeps redialling. (Wellington area, P1/133, Win95, same dial-up settings as ZFREE, and 'disconnect if idle':unchecked) What are we missing? Clear aren't helping. Guest (0)
44080 2002-04-16 09:00:00 At a guess I would say that your dial-up settings still want to connect to zFree, even though you're still using the same dial-up settings for Clearnet.

Have you actually removed the zFree account from your DUN (dial-up networking)?

If you haven't, in Internet Explorer (if that is your browser) go to Tools, Options, click on the Connections tab and see if your Clearnet account has (Default) written next to it.

If it hasn't, click on the Set Default button to change it.

44081 2002-04-19 09:49:00 Did you make a new 'Dial Up Connection'? For some strange reason, editing an existing one (changing dial up phone number, login ID etc) can cause the effect you describe. Guest (0)
