44042 2002-04-16 02:27:00 Windows Xp is refusing to recognise that my hard drive supports UDMA 66 and is runing it in PIO mode. Any one know how to fix this.
The motherboard supports UDMA 66 and is based on the SIS 530 chipset.

44043 2002-04-16 04:31:00 SIS had a driver that enabled UDMA for the 530 chipset - unfortunately the last revision only went up to NT4. Guest (0)
44044 2002-04-16 07:59:00 I had the same problem on my system. No matter what i did i couldnt get my HD to run in DMA mode. I updated the IDE drivers, played with the BIOS, flashed the bios, updated XP - everything! The only way i fixed it was to buy a new HD! if you do solve your problem could you let me know as i would be very interested. Guest (0)
