| 44277 | 2002-04-17 06:54:00 | On Windows 98SE, to enable DMA on something (CD writer / DVD for example), you could check a box in the items' Properties box in Device Manager. That option is no longer existant when I 'upgraded' to win2k pro. How do I enable or disable DMA on something now? | Guest (0) | ||
| 44278 | 2002-04-17 08:51:00 | Have a look that WINXP DMA problem post. www.idg.net.nz the methods listed there should work for win2k as well as XP. Other wise find out who made your motherboard or the motherboard Chipset and see if they have any new IDE drivers avaliable for win2k. |
