44247 2002-04-18 11:46:00 Are you asking how to tell what type of AGP slot you have on your MB?
If you are I hope this is the answer you're looking for. Some MB's (motherboards) support AGP cards of various speeds: 1, 2 and 4. The higher the speed the better is should be at prossessing graphics resulting in better picture quality. Your motherboard manual should say what your board supports, but if you've lost your manual you can go into your bios and under 'Chipset features', you're able to set the AGP speed. If there are only two settings 'x1', 'x2' then board supports up to AGP 2, if you also have 'x4' then your boards supports most of the latest graphic cards out.

Hope this is what you wanted to know.
