| 44213 | 2002-04-17 01:26:00 | I have been asked to help a friend who recently upgraded from Win98 to Win2K. Everything went OK until he tried to access the net and could not make a dialup connection. Seems the built-in 56K PCI modem card was not detected by the install. He has no docs or driver disks, the card itself has no markings of any use and the PC supplier went bust a few months ago... Using the wizards to try to detect a new modem picks up nothing. Any suggestions as to how I can identify the modem card so I can get my hands on a win2k driver? Neil. |
