| 44493 | 2002-04-18 23:35:00 | I have an issue running my ScanJet 5100(paralell) with WinME After installing the scanner and printer software the printer works fine however the scanner doesnt work The software and drivers (including twain drivers) are all present in ME and all appear (according to software) to be working fine However when using say Photoshop to acquire an image the twain driver shows up in the list yet when selected an error message appears stating the scanner is not present Here are the hardware/software specs AMD Athlon 1.2ghz 256 Mb Ram 40 Gb HDD 64 Meg Riva TNT2 HP 948C Colour Printer HP 5100c scanner Win Me Any help anyone can offer would be great... | 44494 | 2002-04-19 00:50:00 | hi, I had a similar problem with the 5200c on windows 2000. I solved it with a driver patch from the hp site. Here's the link for your scanner and OS. www.hp.com Let me know if it works. |

| 44496 | 2002-04-20 12:29:00 | Hi, I had the same problem with my 3300c and so did my brother with his 4300c. I rang HP's 0800 # and spoke to scanner support. The next day i had 2 new install disks in the mail for the respective scanners and Win ME. Problem solved. I now have XP and they do not plan to do the same for this OS so be aware. Cheers Craig |
