| 44369 | 2002-04-18 00:25:00 | When clicking on a link there are times when nothing happens for many seconds. The windows/world sumbol in the top right corner starts turning but there is no modem acitivy and the status bar shows no loading bar. There is no hard drive activity either. If I wait long enough the modem will burst into life and everything works as it should. I am running Win 98 IE6, 128MB Ram with AMD Duron 950 processor and have tried another modem. Also it seems happens on other PC's with Win95 and IE5.5 |

| 44370 | 2002-04-18 20:22:00 | If you are clicking links from within a email message, I found it quicker to simply copy and paste into the address bar of IE. If you refer to links you are clicking on a web page, welcome to the internet, these things are meant to try us. Could be anything, busy at the other end, time of day here or there, slow uploading of info, the list goes on. | Guest (0) | ||
| 44371 | 2002-04-20 00:36:00 | Thanks for your reply. I am refering to clicking on liks within a web site. Two things I have found. One, if use control/F5 the refresh gives immediate results so it is nothing to do with time of day, etc. Two, I have just loaded the free Opera browser on the PC World CD with fantastic results. The response is immediate with most pages being loaded within twenty seconds which tells me the problem is with Internet Explorer. | Guest (0) | ||
