| 44668 | 2002-04-19 22:34:00 | My HP mouse is causing problems by not clicking and jumping across the screen we belive the problem is with the mouse and not the computer as we have virus scanned it. I have another mouse that goes on the serial port but it is not scrolling and mom can't live without a scrolling mouse is there any way to get them both working at the same time or a program that allows you to select what mouse to use when you boot windows? |

Usually dust and debris will just jam up the rollers that are in contact with the ball, but a bit this can cause jerky movement. Itis also possible a bit of fluff has got itself under in the switch contacts that will stop the mouse 'clicking'. Pull the back off and give it a good clean and a bow out (no spitting!) Failing that K mart sell reasonable scroll mice with a PS2 connection for just over $20.00 |
