| 44595 | 2002-04-19 09:39:00 | How do I make a system back up disk? And is it possible to do such a thing as a full system back up? Thanks in advance for your help. A novice... |

I have a backup hard drive mounted in a hard drive caddy, in fact all my hard drives are in caddies.Once a week I use Ghost or DriveCopy to copy the entire main hard drive to the backup. The backup drive is not plugged in until it is going to be used, it is jumpered as a slave. If anything goes wrong on the main drive and is not recoverable, then the backup can be transfered over. Once in a while I boot off the backup just as a QA check that it has copied ok. Different people have their prefered methods of back up, but this is the one I like. |
