44712 2002-04-20 02:01:00 i have a windows 2000 system at work but when i download on to a floppy and take it home to work on [ my home system win 98 ]all i get is something that looks like 'chinese' is there a way of converting 2000 to work with win 98?? Guest (0)
44713 2002-04-20 02:44:00 You are going to need to do better than this.
What are you copying?
The operating system does not determine how a floppy is read.
If you do not have the application program at home that you copied the disk from then it does not matter what Microsoft operating system you use.

44714 2002-04-20 06:29:00 If you have a new version of a programme in your work PC and an older version at home (a Works spreadsheet is a good example) The format has changed, but you can choose to save to the old old format when you copy the file to a floppy. When you go to save the file there is a dropdown menu that will allow you to chose to save to either works2002, works98, excell, and other formats, similar options for word processing programmes.
