44611 2002-04-19 11:33:00 My laptop is formatted and I am trying to reload Win98 from the network. The Laptop has a Network card but has no CD Rom and I don't have Win98 Floppies. How do I go about getting Win 98 back on? Any ideas most appreciated. Guest (0)
44612 2002-04-19 19:51:00 Hi. You could purchase a parallel CDROM enclosure.
This unit retails for about $185 and comes with a dos driver as well as Windows drivers.
If you don't want to purchase a CDROM you could tempory use one from a PC.
This would allow you to install windows from the CD unit via your parallel port.
Regards.

44613 2002-04-19 19:57:00 You could set it up from dos on the laptop, you need to download and install MSWGCN.exe onto the laptop. Here is a step by step link on how to do it, with a link to the download you need.
