44914 2002-04-21 05:38:00 i am finding that when i am on the internet and go to 'file' then 'close', whilst the browser closes, i find that i am still connected through xtra. Is there an easy way to disconnect, without having to use the task manager or going to the network connections? Guest (0)
44915 2002-04-21 05:47:00 Hello rich,

To disconnect your connection, right click the two little computers icons on the right hand corner of your taskbar, and click 'disconnect'

cheers,
Bob

44916 2002-04-21 07:02:00 If you are using IE as your browser: goto <Tools> <Internet Options> [Connections] click 'Settings' 'Advanced' and put a checkmark in 'Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed'. Guest (0)
44917 2002-04-21 07:05:00 Right click the double computer dial up icon in the task bar and select disconnect or just double click the same icon and then hit C on your keyboard. That will disconnect you from the internet. Guest (0)

44919 2002-04-21 22:01:00 Hello Rich,

have you tried minimizing your browser? If they are not there, we will need to know what windows you are running to check to see if the notication is ticked.

cheers,
Bob

44921 2002-04-22 11:04:00 Ah XP ! Go <Start> <Connect To> <Show all Connections> OR <Start> <Control Panel> <Network Connections> to display your diall up connection(s). Right click the connection and select 'Properties' Put a checkmark in 'Show in Nortification area when connected'. This will put the 'two computer' modem activity icon in the lower rhs of the screen. You can then use this to disconnect as explained previously. Guest (0)
