| 44856 | 2002-04-21 00:44:00 | Wanting to know how to get Excel-2k to give me a print preview without having a printer actually installed. It used to work in ME but not now in XP Pro. So what is missing? P.S print preview still works fine with Word-2k. First F1 question >>rippinn<< |

| 44857 | 2002-04-21 04:20:00 | Maybe Excel wants to know what sort of printer you have. (Even if you haven't got one). I'd just install one. Any printer. You don't have to have the actual machine plugged in. |

But as already stated Excel 2k used to give me a print preview without having a printer installed. So why is it now directing me to the install printer wizard? instead of showing a preview. |

The preview may depend on the printer installed as this would affect margins, colour or b&w, etc. Anyway the simplist solution is just to install a generic printer driver or one for the printer you normally use. | Guest (0) | ||
